Training

Colorado Baptist Disaster Relief requires these elements of training for every volunteer:

  • CBDR Orientation- Who is Colorado Baptist Disaster Relief and how do we operate?
  • Involving Southern Baptists in Disaster Relief
  • Unit training of your choice*

Due to the nature of our partnerships and to make sure we are providing you with the very best and latest training information, CBDR Credentialling MUST be renewed every three years.

In addition to the basic training each volunteer must meet these criteria:

  • Be a member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church
  • Submit a current background check

*Currently our CBDR trainings include:

  • Feeding
  • Chainsaw
  • Assessment
  • Disaster Relief Chaplaincy (if you are interested in DR Chaplaincy please call Jan Loser at 888.771.2480 xt. 230)

   Periodically CBDR will offer these trainings:

  •           Mud-out
  •           Temporary Childcare

While one unit of training is required for CBDR credentialling, we would encourage you to complete as many unit training elements as you would like.
