CPE is professional education for ministry, which utilizes an adult model of learning making use of small groups, an action-reflection-integration methodology to explore the relationship between theological study and ministerial practice for personal, pastoral and professional development.

It gives attention to pastoral reflection, pastoral formation, personal awareness, and the development of pastoral care and counseling skills.

Schedule… September 8 - November 24, 2008 
                     Monday Evenings...4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Trainer-Supervisor… Dallas E. Speight, certified CPE Supervisor, CPSP.

Participants… Pastors, staff ministers, church-planters, and laypersons are encouraged to attend.

Video-Tele Conference Format... Allows flexibility and limits travel time.

Requirements…
A unit of CPE is 400 Clinical Hours. The  400  clinical hours is covered over a period of 12 weeks and
involves: class time, a ministry internship placement, reading writing time, individual supervision, etc. In most cases, pastors and church staff will be able to use their church ministry as their clinical site.

Tuition… The tuition per unit is $895.00; however, this may be paid throughout the unit as long as it paid in full before

the end of the unit.  There is also a $75.00 (non-refundable) application fee. However, if accepted into the CPE Program the application fee will be deducted from the tuition. Applications can be downloaded below.
 
In addition, CPE assists in helping to qualify individuals to serve in a variety of paid and non-paid chaplain positions. In fact, many paid chaplain positions require a minimum number of CPE units.
