NAMB appoints four new missionaries with Colorado ties

Alpharetta, GA - The Southern Baptist North American Mission Board has appointed four new missionaries with Colorado ties.

Rand and Esther Clark are serving in Castle Rock where Rand is a church planting missionary pastor.  Since January 2007, he has served as lead pastor at Genesis Church in Castle Rock.

"Genesis Church is focused on helping our community glorify God by being passionate about people and caring for creation," Clark said.  "Through community service and involvement, we seek to be a positive influence, in the name of Jesus, in our community."

A native of Monument, Clark has a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of California at Los Angeles.  He also attended California State University in Hayward and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, Calif.

Albert, Canada native, Esther Clark, attended Okanagan University College in British Columbia and is branch adminsitrator for Edward D. Jones & Co. in Monument.  The Clarks have one son, Reuben, 1.

Colorado Springs native Roger Kim is a core church planting missionary pastor in Baltimore.  Prior to his new assignent, Kim was lead pastor at the Light Church and Grace Life Church, both in Baltimore.

Kim has a bachelor's degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and a master of divinity degree from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill.

He and wife, Ann, have been involved in church planting in the Baltimore area for the past 10 years.  They have planted three churches and say they hope to launch two more churches in 2008 in partnership with NAMB's Embrace Baltimore initiative.

Ann, a native of West Virginia, has a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign, and is a pharmacist in Baltimore.  The Kims have four children: Timothy, 12; Stephen, 10; John, 9; and Joshua, 6.
